Free State remains to be a leading province in Matric pass rate again in  2021.Free State educational MEC seemed so proud about the matric pass rate of his province Free State. He expressed gratitude to communities in the province who played major role in supporting the Matric class of 2022.Leading the pack once again The free State leading province at 85 .7%,an improvements of 6.0%from 2022.The  free State has recorded the highest numbers of learners who passed their national senior certification exams ,while Gauteng and Kwazulu natal produced more candidates who are eligible to apply for bachelor’s degree programme at universities.

A total of 27928 students wrote their matric  results in the free State 40.0%of these students passed with bachelor’s. Free State regardless the covid-19 pandemic they continued to take a lead. Free state to grant 100 matriculation bursaries, the education department has procured laptops for 18 officials providing support to curriculum delivery, while 14 teachers won national teachers and tablets were given 1690 mathematics and physical science grade 12 pupils MEC 2022 plan to report secondary school sees him envision equipping pupils with the knowledge, skills and competence of changing world in context of covid-19

Even though the start of matric exams today marks the beginning of the of  s 12 year schooling however, for some the final year has not been without challenges, There was a lot of pressure on them getting right of school work .despite it all the department of education expressed confidence in matric class of 2021,saying pupils were ready and equipped. The parents played a significant roles to the past two years, they showed their support and trust on their children. The pandemic did not discourage them they took out potential in their children minds.Not forgetting that they were few days they had work out on the syllabus, they did not get much time like other  previous years were they used to have the whole year to prepare.

Although Free State education is not well equipped like education in Gauteng in term of facilities and incentives like Smart board laptop and tablets they continue to be leading. Ministers of education seemed so proud about matric results of free State she said it shows that the teachers I  the province of free State are dedicated on their work cause the results shows it’s all. History and geography are the most passed subjects in the province, it were they get distinction. Free state made it on map which is a very good thing to be proud of they must continue to do the most .
