It has been taken into consideration  that NSFAS fail their duty on distribution funds on time each and very students have to wait until third or fourth  month before they get their allowances and that makes  it difficult for students to get their studies going .when students get their book allowances late they find their self behind with syllabus even more they fail to do their assignments .Its not secret that most of depend on that money to do everything, some of them they are the bread winner at home with that money .The students comes from different places the distance at maybe 500km and it cost and they cant afford to go near campuses.

NSFAS spokesperson, kagiso Mamabolo said the reason behind the delays could be the incomplete submission of documents through MYNSFAs portal app and if you uploaded the documents and still have not got it you are advised to contact NSFAS. The other reason could be a delay in registration data from institutions, NSFAS must receive list from registered students from universities or institutions for students who have been approved by NSFAS before then they distribute funds .Then the  institutions have to alert students to upload their banking details and that causes a delay to the funds. He said one of the other reasons is that you will find that during the application process they will indicate multiple institutions and when register closes all universities will qualify in sending confirmation that students is in their campuses or not .Then they are those who did who applied for finding but got rejected for different reasons  or their statuses did not change and they cannot be funded anytime soon. Some of them they are affected by the N+ rule they are so much things that cause the delays.

This has been happening from previous years and it keeps on continuing and it gets hectic each and every years. It is now a tendency that such thing is continuing to happen every year .students have to suffer first before they get their allowances. To be heard or taken serious they should strike first which is a bad thing to the economy, because during strikes students cannot control themselves they break property even loot on ships. Before anything bad happens or even more students die they NSFAS bodies should find solutions about this solution before it gets out of hands .
